2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege
I own a Mazdaspeed Protege, and I've been researching like crazy about increasing the power. I am wondering what information can anyone give me about forged internals. Price, company, How long to install, safe psi. Any information at would be appreciated.

P.S. I did do many searches, and unless I over read a post, I didn't find the info I seek.

Thank you.

I think perfworks sells the forged internals, and I remember the price being like $1300. How long to install depends on where you take it. You will need an engine rebuild kit also. Well safe psi depends on your engine tuning. Engine management on the msp is definitely needed or those new rod could be the ones going through the block. Some people say to get engine management before internals.

You could also get Pauter rods (the weakest link), and Mazda OEM pistons machined down to 8.5:1 and ceramic coated dome from HiBoost... The pistons will save you a bit of money, but still hold up quite well!

I still want to know if Juan from Hiboost managed to put the stock piston on the pauter rod.
