hi all,

I bet there are a bunch of these posts up already, I looked for awhile and couldn't find any. but im looking to get a ebay FMIC for a MSP just wondering the ultimate size for gains aka core size. also rerouting the mafs to the throttlebody line instead of the air intake. what would be the best way to go about doing this?

I'm personally just going to run the stock bypass valve and dump it back into the intake to prevent compressor surge the maf needs to be closer to the throttle body than the bov or bypass valve and about 6 inches a way from it to prevent problems there my core is 7 inches tall and i have to cut the crash bar for the bumper to fit. and gains you may see like 5 to 7hp if your lucky somebody correct me if i Am wrong

How are you going to 'prevent' compressor surge with the tiny stock BPV? Good luck, best way is to run a proper aftermarket BOV. And I have a 7" tall FMIC and it fit fine without cutting the crash bar or bumper cover.

it didn't fit for me but oh well whats done is done and i do plan on upgrading to a bigger bypass valve i just haven't found which one i want yet im still working on the install taking my time with work and night classes it would be much easier to rig up if i got a larger bypass valve any recommendations?

Thead I linked you to has EVERYTHING you need. Its all been done many times. No need to reinvent the wheel.

My recommendation is to get a true BOV, recirc it if you want but it's the only way to move enough air for the turbo. All you need is one flange on the hot or cold pipe
