First post - questions about 2014 CX-5 Sport

Another that loves to stir the gears. Bought the CX5 for my wife but operating the clutch hurts her bad hip. So she gets to drive the Altima and I am stirring the gears! Love it.

I'm really loving the car so far. I started thinking about an after market radio with rear view camera but I've decided to just take out my Clarion CX501 from the Honda Element and put it in. I'm trying to navigate the mine field that is the Metra website trying to figure out adapters and what not. Then it's on the getting the cargo are liner and those hard molded floor mats. I cant remember what they're called now. So excited about this car!

My 2 cents regarding stick shifts:

I traded in my Subaru WRX with a manual tranny that I had for 11 years, to get the CX-5 with the GT+tech package. I was initially worried about performance without a stick shift. My advice to you is, DRIVE THE CAR. Don't get yourself all worked up and biased before you actually drive it. The automatic in the CX-5 is by far the best I have ever driven, hands down. I don't miss the stick shift in the slightest. And for me, the extra power in the 2.5L engine is definitely worth it.

I understand all of that......my thing is that I "Enjoy" the shifting.....the clutch....using my left foot :-)
