Finally got my shipping notice for my high flow CDFP!!! :)

Just like the title says, I got a shipping notice for my new high flow CDFP from Mrlilguy.

I've been having erratic issues with my fuel system. One being loss of pressure during WOT which resulted in a traction control engaging like feeling, then as the pressure goes back up it resumes the acceleration. Its a smooth transition, but definitely noticable...

My other issue which I haven't experienced since the weather warmed up (90s) is a A/F lean condition again during WOT. My A/Fs would drop to high 12s...they used to be high 9s mid 10s... Right now they are mid 10s low 11s. But I still get fuel pressure drop.

I will hopefully be installing it Saturday as soon as the mail person gets their butt to my house!!!

I will report then!! (2thumbs)

So I got my fuel pump as promised...

Install was a breeze!!! OMG, it literally took 10 mins to swap pumps. And yes, you do need to zip tie the high pressure line so that the nut doesn't fall out of reach.
I didn't even have to let the engine chug for the initial start-up. All I did was prime the in-tank fuel pump about 3 times and she started up just like stock...

I have the service manual and performed the CDFP test on it. Its like a 3 step test just to make sure things are up to specs. The Mrlilguy pump performed with in specs.

As for the driving test...well, you know how everyone says this is not a power mod...?
Well, it should be!!! Damn, my car was pulling so much harder. I can compare the stock pump feeling like your engine/intercooler is heat soaked where as the engine feels a little sluggish. With Mrlilguy's pump, its like its winter again...just raw mid-range pull. (rockon)

Basically the engine felt like it got a tuneup after 100,000 miles... Just crisp and strong.
I was tossing my GF back and forth in her seat the car pulled so much stronger; she commented on how much more force she felt being pushed back in the seat. Oh and I had traction issues in 1st and 2nd gear...this just made it worst...wheels don't even grab anymore... (crazy)

I never really believe the fuel pump would be that drastic...but it is. I don't know what it would do to a fully stock MS3, but this should be your ground work before modding. I really think people need to purchase this fuel pump before you even start slapping on an intake.

Definitely a must do mod!!!!!(first)(2thumbs)

Nice Auto!

Did you notice boost holding longer due to the throttle staying open longer? I can go past 6k rpms and no drop off feeling. Its really a great mod!

I haven't really been observing my boost pressure since I have to hold on the steering wheel for dear life and make sure I keep the car pointed in the right direction...in addition to making sure I don't ram anything... (lol2)

Damn, car picks up speed so quickly that by the time your looking at your boost gauge, your doing 120 MPH in a 55-65 mph zone... (eek)

I have been data logging and will compare the stock parameters with Mrlilguys pump.

I just can't get over how much of a difference there is... Why didn't Mazda do this since day one...? I feel like Mazda jipped us with their fuel pump.
