here is the urethane lip and fiberglass grill, painted and installed. i didnt use the supplied screws for the install. i bolted the lip into the wheel well instead.
also, the gap on the left side (passenger side) of the grill doesnt seem as noticeable once it is painted.
the paint seems to match just about perfectly, the shop (central auto body) did a good job. the final price to prep and paint the lip and grill was $109.13, and it only took them 1 day to do it. for you IL/WI folk looking for a shop, let me know.
my front end was completely stock 6 days ago.

awesome job jose!!! I am going to chicago next week!!! woot!!! it's my turn :)

your gap looks good! hahaha. i hope mine turns out that nice. the contrast between the dark blue and the primer makes it look REALLY bad, but i think once the grille is painted, the gap won't be so noticeable. we'll see though. still no word from amie. i'm gonna wait till the week of finals is over then give her a call.

VERY nice. too bad my guy cant paint my s*** until wednesday. i need to go to home depot to get some of those over sized pop clips to attach the lip to the wheel well...is that how you did yours, or did you just use screws? did you drill the holes for the screws before or after the painting?

i drilled my holes once i realized i needed them, which was after it was painted. i would do it before painting though, just to be safe. luckily, i had no problem. i used bolts to secure the lip. you dont want to give anyone any ideas about just popping it off and taking it. they are fastened from the inside of the wheel well, which is going to be a major b**** to get off, but at least it cant be stolen easily.

lookin awesome Jose, i will have my kit on thursday afternoon finished and installed. now all you need is a protegegarage.com sticker for teh windshield :D
