Hi guys,
In my car, even when the eys are out of the ignition and the car is off, the electric windows can still be rolled down, which makes me wonder if that is the reason why my battery is losing it's charge. Is there a way to fix the problem, or a reason why the current stays on?!
Thanks

I doubt that that is the reason your battery is running down. I made a modification to my car to actually allow that. As long as you're not constantly rolling the windows up and down it should be okay.

Check your voltage when the car is on, if it's low (below 14) it could be your alternator... Mine died recently and was causing similar problems. Windows shouldn't affect it.

Look at the window Switch when the key is off... It's probably still illuminated...

Yes,they stay illuminated, but the battery lost charge after a little under a month not powering anything so maybe thats just weak!

They should not stay illuminated which was my point I guess

I am saying that you are correct and there is an issue with your electrical system not turning fully off when the key is out

I reverified today, and no lights stay on, unless the key it turned, so it must just be a battery losing charge, damn AC Delco batteries, its almost new

have you had any work done to your car recently. In my Cadillac SRX the shop that installed my alarm tampered with the 12v constant line behind the ignition which caused the same issue.

But I would have your battery and alternator tested aswell.

Update, when it got dark, i check the window light and it does stay on:/ the electronics that have been tampered with that i know of, are hid fogs, hid lights and i think thats it, i would suspect the issue arrising from the fogs...
