Drove my MSP 2200 miles in 3 days! Lol

2003.5 Blazing Yellow MSP (Forged)
Just got done driving my MSP from San Diego to Atlanta in less than 3 days. Also, I did it during this crazy heat wave we are experiencing. Most of the way the temps were over 100 degrees. I have to say it did a pretty good job. I did not experience any major issues. The only problem I had was with gasoline sold in Arizona and New Mexico. They only have 91 octane (max) and while Californias 91 octane ran fine in my car, the 91 in AZ and NM is obviously inferior. I was getting a randomly occuring slight misfire starting when I filled up in Arizona that lasted until I filled up with 93 octane in Texas. Since then it has been doing fine. I will admit it was not the most comfortable ride due to stiff motor mounts and full coilovers, but it was bearable. Anyone else ever taken their MSP LONG distance like this?

Just took my mp3 to the beach and back about 700 miles in the same 100+ heat it did good I'm still in the process of testing 87 and 93 To see if they do any better than the other. Did pretty good on gas 29 mpg on 87 runing 80mph

Interesting, I got around 35 mpg and was traveling at speeds of 75-80 mph. I guess that could have to do with my car being pretty heavily modded though. Because its a MSP I ran 91-93 octane the entire trip. 87-89 octane is not an option in these cars without complete retuning.

Lack of cruise control on a trip that long would damn near cripple me (trashed knees) but GTG on the trek...
