dripping noise after turning engine off

Hello

I'm wondering if it is normal to hear dripping noises around the middle of your car after you shut off your engine for about 10 minutes. I went out and looked underneath of car but did not see any wet spots.

Are you sure it isn't just sounds of exhaust pinging & tinging while it cools off?

Had you been running the A/C or defrost prior? If so, could be the condensation overflow, but that should drip on the ground in the area where the firewall/dash are.

I am pretty sure that it wasn't the exhaust pinging because it was a clear droplet sound every 5 seconds or so.

My ac was not on.

It's amazing how much water collects on and under a car. When I park my Mazda 3 in the garage after driving in the rain, I get at least a quart of water draining off of it.
