double din

im in japan and i bought a double din cd/md dech. the guy at best buy told me there pretty safe to have cause no one will try to steal it because its hard to get out. if not any ideas on concealment. also what do i need for the install.

that's a laugh and a half....... if they want to steal your sh!t, they'll take it, double din or not. to answer your question, you can make some sort of plate to cover it, or get 2 decks instead of one!

and yes if ppl wanna steal your s***.. THEY WILL alarm no alarm, antitheft features or not.. they will get it.. theirs always a way around.

If you want the best security just get a deck with a detachable face and take it with you. Also you could get a stock mazda CD player and utalize a decent little amplifier with speaker level leads. that way the car appears stock. For the install you'll need the integrating wire harness. For a double din no dash kit should be needed. Other then that it will be tools and supplies. An asortment of screw drivers and wratchets will be helpfull also some bullet or butt connectors unless you soilder and some electrical tape.
