how long did you have the hood for? I have no probs. no fading cracking nothing! how come they will not warrranty it? they will take mine back if I have problems. not to take VIS's side but I have no problems with trunk or hood, fitment is awesome to

i have had my hood for like 2 or 3 mths!!! just noticed the cracks yesterday after waxing!!!

the reason i said that was because i know people that own ViS hoods and have had them on their cars with no problem

I always thought they made good cf hoods. I had there cf hood when I had my Celica and was happy with it. I know for a fact their bodykits suck, but I thought opposite of their hoods. I'm looking at getting a cf hood for my Z, and VIS was one I was considering. I'm having 2nd thoughts now. Also note, on their website they sdatae all sales are final.

I think its just some peoples luck or since they are C/F and wont fit perfect maybe some fit to tight in some spots or to loose which made it flex to much or not enough and they cracked. I will gladly buy from VIS over Fiberimages but htat is just IMO. All the stories I hear on these posts I here about Fiberimages hoods so I guess it is just your luck w/ them I guess

oops... alright, fiberimages is down the street from my house so alot of local people have there hoods, and the same problems are happening w/ there hoods as VIS's. I was just saying I hear all these problems with VIS hoods on this forum. I hear all the same stuff about fiberimages since its local for me. I just think that the hoods are way to inconsistant on fitment so maybe some peoples hoods are fitting to loose or they are fitting to tight and getting stress cracks. I just think its the luck of the draw

ya I wouldnt blaim you I would be to. From what I have heard fiberimages cracks easier, mainly from opening and closing the hood, and flexing. You should be happy with it alot of people have them. My friend is sponsored by fiberimages and he said he thinks they are crappy to but he gets them for free so he doesnt complain, otherwise he said he would get VIS. Some people have probs others dont, guess it depends on how you use it, how often you open and close it, now that I think about it maybe joka1's cracked from waxing it all the time cuz you have to put pressure on it to get the wax on and off. There is not that much support near the vents so I know it flexes under slight pressure.
