Does the Protege 5 have a Passive Immobilizer?

I just got a 2003 Protege 5, and when registering the insurance, the previous owner had it insured with a Passive Immobilizer (lower insurance rates), but the insurance agent (and myself) was skeptical as the key itself did not look like it would have it (was just a metal copy), and not sure if the fob itself has a transmitter.

I tried googling but couldn't find a straight up answer.

Nope, it's just a normal key.

Mazda did have an alarm system option for the Protege but that didn't include a passive immobilizer either.
