I don't mean like limousine tint level, but what ever the stock tint seems to be on 2012+ 5's

What's your experience?

Our 5's in the US don't come with tint. I have mine at 20% but would still like a auto dimming / homelink mirror.

the auto dimming in the GT is pretty useless compared to the 20% tint we have, but it's still awesome due to the garage remote.

I don't find the need to adjust the rear view mirror to night mode with the tint. I think so far there were only one time and I think the car behind me was using high beam.

I think you mean the UV filter in the glass?

This is subjective to personal wants/needs but IMO, yes, auto dimming or even tinted glass on rear view mirror is a nice to cut glare with tint up to 20%. Different if you are using limo tint or perhaps reflective tint.

no need for autodim. a 20% tint will dim the bright light. a lighter tint will possibly work as well but I've only ever done 20% on my cars
