Disabling the DRLs

I have recent added HIDs and the Drl circuit causes them to flicker.
I would much rather not have them on during the day, as I will be installing aux leds for that purpose.
Is there an easy way to do this? Or trick the circuit into believing the parking brake is on?
I don't want to have my headlights on all the time
just to stop the lower voltage Drl circuit from coming on.

I have searched and there are no clearcut ways i could see that would just disable the circuit. Not concerned about it being reversable.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

I already have a relay harness taking power directly from the battery, but the flickering still occurs. Regardless of that, I still don't want the HIDs on in the daytime. Thanks for the link.
