Difference b/w Canadian and US P5???

I'm new to the forum (obviously), new to protege 5's, and pretty new to cars too, so I'm sorry if this is out of place. I'm trying to get a roof rack on my p5 and I've run into the question of "is it a canadian or US p5". What's the difference, and how does that affect me being able to have a roof rack?

there really isn't any difference, except maybe the warranty that came with it, the rack rails and kits should fit both US and Canadian P5s

thanks...I'm looking at an auction on ebay and not sure if it's what I need. Here's the auction:

"Selling a Mazda Protege5 factory roof rack. Dealer parts, came with the car. I sold the car, now I have a roof rack. Box is still sealed in factory bag. Mazda part #BN5W-51-7BYC. Note: I believe this is the cross bar kit that you assemble on a Mazda that already has the built in rails."

do you know if all protege5's have the rails built in?

Just go look at your car, if there are plastic coverins a few inches wide that run the length of the doors in the seam on the roof, then you have what you need, there should be 4 removable plastic caps and they should reveal where the cross bars fasten to. otherwise the roof will look smooth with a small seam where they go
