Hello, I am debating a MSP and a SVT Focus. Right now i am leaning towards the focus for the fact that I can get the SVT for no market adjustment. The MSP is a great car, more handsome than the SVT and just a little more well rounded. If you guys can help me out by letting me know who has paid MSRP for the MSP that would be great. Than i can prove to the dealer that it really does happen, get him to lower the price so I can get one damn it. If not i will be forced to get the SVt. Please help me out. I would definetly rather have the MSP but I cant afford the 23,000 MSRP. Thanks in advance.
 
yeah, I paid $19,500.....I would NEVER pay over MSRP for ANYTHING.....EVER!!!! BUT.....I'd rather walk than drive a domestic POS.......a Ford???? eeeeeewwwww....come on.....have you ever driven in one of those???? Simply awful....I'm convinced the good press those cars get is some conspiracy where Ford pays off the media. Spend $7500 on a new Yamaha R6 and save some cash....then you'll dust about 99% of the cars on the planet :)
 
I paid 20,000 for it. That is with an extended warranty, tax, title, tags etc. Pretty much I walked out the door with paying 20g's. I would suggest that you try something like Priceline.com to get a better deal (my deal was nice due to S-plan savings!)
My husband got his Spec V for Invoice using Priceline. Just shop around because the sales guy who is trying to get you to pay 23g's is BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't ford own a lot of Mazda? and Isn't the engine in the mazda 6 a ford v6? I think ford has started making better cars lately.
 
Can you get the MSP on the S-Plan? Anyone do this? When I tried gettting a MP3 last year on the S-Plan they told me limited number cars couldn't be sold that way. Those dirty som' bitaches! And by the way Ford owns Mazda.
 
Mazda is under ford MANAGMENT. Though a few Mazda cars are made by Ford such as the B Series trucks, and i think the 6 is made by Ford. Basicaly, if it isn't on sale in Japan, then Ford makes it(notcool).

I did it. I called to make sure that I could and they had no problem with it. They took my Ford Recognition Number and they took my SS#, no problems, no haggling, it went off without a hitch! Well except the fact that they ignored me (and I was the one who was the one with the discount and all) and only paid attention to my husband! Damn redneck VA's. Only think that men enjoy cars!!! Idiots!
But to answer your question - yes it does work!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get that beotch for under 20k!
Call Mazda freinds. 1-800-222-5500.
Call and tell them the score and what it is you want.
They will help you and they will send a survey afterwards so you can rate the quality of the assistance you received.
Dont pay to much ask Mazda and they will help you.
If this isnt the direct number make sure and tell them what you need. Mazda only has 2% of the world market and they want to double that. They will do all they can to get a fair current market price and try to leverage the 2003 against the 2003.5 if you can.
Be nice to the dealer but dont trake any s*** its your money and they need your business.
Bear in mind I could have saved just over 6k going with an SVT focus but I bought the MSP anyway. I have the Ford Partner discount of about 2600.00 off MSRP and it was coming with 3000.00 cash back so that should tell you the differnce I felt between the two.

Ford does not own Mazda. Just over %30 of Mazda is owned by Ford. That's not a controlling share.

MAzda cars...for now...still Mazda, except the 6 V6 where the engine block is a Ford, the rest is MAzda. And I think Ford actually builds the 6 V6 engine for MAzda but I'm not sure on that.

How does one become eligible for this SS plan?

Ok Ford does offer partner discounts to those who work for Ford/Mazda/Range Rover/Aston Martin etc. They also offer them to some of their third party people; Which my company happens to be. www.fordpartner.com They give you a pin and you'll need your company's code if they are a partner that is.

I didn't mean to imply Ford owns them just gives them the Good American Love(k) (k) (k) (spank) (upbum) (bj)
 
I have a friend who works in Dearborn for Ford and he said he could help me out on my P5 or MP3 that I wanted at the time. I gave him my Soc # and he gave me a pin #. I walked in told them I had a pin # and I wanted to know the price of the MP3. Mazda dealer says we can't do that with the MP3's because of limited #'s. So I said OK and walked out. Few days later I tracked down my P5 5 states away (but close to my dad) and called the guy. Gave me the bottom line price at 2% over invoice and my dad drove 2 hours and picked it up. So nice to not have to haggle and go back and forth with the dealer.
 
yes I know that Ford is in bed with Mazda......that's the reason we didn't buy the new 6 like I wanted is because of that Ford engine......I keep hearing this thing about American cars getting better and all I can say is......go rent one for a day.....it's :bs:
 
I paid $20,150 + tax and such.. That was the best the dealer was willing to do, at least it is a couple $$$ below invoice :)..

As for Ford/Mazda- pull your ECU out of your car and tell me how much "Ford" it is....
