Dealership experience(hilarious)

First off my mods are: hardpipe kit with turbosmart blowoff valve and CAI.

So I went to the dealership for an oilchange and to have them look at why my front suspension is squeeking so bad when it is cold.

While sitting in the waiting room I hear them revving my engine like crazy and the blowoff valve going off nice and loud. So when it comes time to pay I am told that the squeek is coming from my waste gate because it is loose, and it can't be covered under warrantee because it is an aftermarket part?? Not having a clue what she is talking about I ask to speak with the tech and have him show me what he thinks the problem is. He tells me that the sound I am hearing is probably on acceleration and points at the blowoff valve and tells me the wastegate is loose and that is why it is making the noise. Holding back laughter I tell him that is a blowoff valve and it is supposed to make that sound. He didn't seem to understand what I said so I just said thank-you and left.

sorry for the long post but I found this prety damn funny.

omg...how can they not know what a bov is.

yea i have that squeek too, i'm gonna get it checked out soon.

I have the same squeek you speak of and my car is currently at the dealership for that. After reading this I called, and they are replaceing the bushings on the front sway bar to fix the problem.

That's some funny stuff!

Mine has been at the dealer for a week with the front squeek....Instead of listening to me and replacing the bushing they have now ordered new struts and shims and have put the struts in and they still here the squeek. (At least thats what they're telling me)So now I have to wait another day for the shims to come in. Least I have a rental but its a sentra. By the way I saw a yellow 2003.5 getting a new engine at the dealer (Classic Mazda East) Orlando, FL. is it anyone here.

I've been driving a mazda 6 for my loaner :)

and this comes from a certified mazdaspeed dealer???? wow!

you act like its hard to get certified (lol), i took a few basic mechanics classes at my school to pass the time and i met numerous kids (i emphasize KIDS) that were already certified, and were just back to get more certifications, and i s*** you not, they did not know a damn ******* thing... i've got one telling me that i'm pulling the compression on my engine wrong (i've done it so many times i could do it in my sleep), and another one telling me how he jumped his LOWERED cavalier off some train tracks, got 6 feet of air, and went a total distance of 45-50 feet, and all he did was "scrape the exhaust a little bit" as he landed...

so in short, getting certified is about as easy as taking a s***, go in, sit down, squeeze, your done :)...

wow, it hurts me to hear stories like that... i have the provelage of having 2 MS certified service depts within a couple miles of myhouse so when one tries screwing me over, i go to the other (cool)

I actually haven't had any problems with this dealership up to this point. It just makes me a little nervous for future visits that they don't know the difference between a blow off valve and a wastegate. And no she wasn't hot. lol
