Okay, so My girlfriend Danielle who came with me to the meet this weekend's always loved my car, even before I got it, but she's had this old boat of a 66 Plymoth Fury that's just got flava' Anyway, it's going in for engine#3 soon, and needs some interior work, not to mention it's got some rusting starting. Anway, so she's been thinking about that, and now, especially after seeing all of your nice Pro's this weekend she's finally giving in.

Anyway, we're stuck over here in podunk and getting ahold a a decent car's not always happening. She's hoping to still be able to find a new p5, or at least a decent used one. Please let us know if you've seen or know of any in particular. She's hoping to be in the sub-$14g range. I think ideally she likes black, and laserblue, but I think that would just be weird, hell it was odd enough having 4 lsrblues at the meet. so Black is good. Silver would be doable. definately not red or midnightblue. If this doesn't happen she's considering a 3, but likely a fairly base one. But I guess most of this hinges upon what her bank says this week.

Damn, I got mine for 16even after taxes new. Guess I Did do a bunch of shopping around and such. Hell I was allover the state. and I paid cash. Actually that reminds me of another thing. She's curious if anyone would be able to clue her in asto what kind of payments to expect. I've got no idea myself as I'd just saved my penneis and bought outright.

according to edmunds true market value script the car in clean condition should be listed at $12,750, private sale is $10,800... So I would offer them $11,000 which is approx half and see what they say... They prolly got it on trade for ~$9500 so they make money and you get a great car. Ask about a VIN Record registry first also.

I've got the dealer I bought mine from on it as well, I'ma ctually waiting to see what he can come up with before digging. With mine, he gave me the best price right upfront of anywhere, even after I went aorund and haggled.

Herzog Meier in Beaverton, Oregon has four new P5s last time I drove by. They were very willing to negotiate. I was going to buy one for my wife, but she wants to keep with her Mini S she has on order. They had two red ones, a yellow one and a black one. THe black was a five speed as was the yellow (it has some black 17s on it, but they added like 2k for the wheels) and both the reds are autos, one with a sunroof.

They are dicks to deal with, but they need to get rid of them. If they are being jerks, ask to talk to Chris Meier.

i looked, nothing too attractive. that silver fully loaded p5 was the only good one. the rest are yellow or silver, bad pricing. and we're bastards when it coems to price, especially on P5's. why? i don't know.

Hmm, what's your price and options on a silver one? SHe's not super stuck on price, and kinda caught up in things, but I kinda want to keep her from spending toomuch. Especially when I know I got mine new nearly a year ago for a tad over 14

You may want to try checking out Giant of The Valley in Auburn, or even the Mazda Dealership in Puyallup. Both are very willing to work on price, I don't remember the exact price on mine, but I only owe $19,500 on mine after 12% interest for 6 years. Granted, I have two other cars that I've rolled in previous loans so I have negative equity.. And my car payment is around $480.16 ... But we don't need to talk about that!

If you kids are coming over this way, this weekend, Paul. Let me know! I should be off work around 6pm on Saturday (I work 10-6pm) and I'm off all day Sunday (except I have those stupid marriage 101 classes again, ask Danielle.. I actually just called the Mazda dealership (Auburn Valley) that I dealt with, they have a red one on the lot (which I think is the one that I ALMOST bought actually!) The salesman is double checking the price but he said it was $12,700 or $12,900 ... I'm waiting on a phone call back from him, but it's loaded except no leather. Kegan (Key-GAN) is how you pronounce it, but he's the guy I dealt with when I was there, good guy. Great personality, and was straight up with us the entire time.. Didn't dick us around, and didn't haggle us much either. But I'm going to call Milan Mazda out in Puyallup real quick too, hopefully I can get some info there too.

Okay, just got word back from Allen at Mazda. Kegan doesn't work there anymore. But the car is $14,900 w/very low miles on it he said. And if you kids are interested in dealing with them or at least checking it out. If you tell them that you were referred by Jason Northover & Jessica Murphy (that's legally how you spell my name (wink) ) who purchased one in December, they said they'll take good care of you.

Okay, so unfortuantely, Danielle's dad is no longer gonna co-sign and thusly she's not gonna have the credit for a P5. Thanks for your help everyone, Perhaps things'll work out differently in awhile. But for now, it's a no-go.

If any super sweet deals come around, Or say if Doug's starts loosening the reigns on those extra 5's, It's still a possibility. I believe she's just gonna try to save up for a bit to get a bigger down. SO if anything stellar pops up, keep her in mind, but the timeline may be back a bit.

thats too bad, I read through this thread and was surprised what the p5's are going for.
I bought mine a little les than a yr ago, its an 03.5 and while the sticker on the window was 17,250 I walked away with it for 12,900. which was less than the x-plan price I had available at the time.

The about 6 months after I bought mine the 6 came out and they started blowing the p5 out in AZ and there was a dealership that got rid of 5 or 6 p5's for a blowout 9.988. kinda made me sick to see the ads.

So I finally got registered! This is Danielle (Poseur's girlfirend), I met a few of you guys in Seattle a couple weeks back.
I just want to say thank you everyone for looking around for me, I'm so stoked to get a P5 now! I've been looking online and I have found one in Spokane that I'm going to go check out (hopefully fall in love with and buy) next weekend, but asking price is $12,995 compared to every other states normal $11,990 so I have to see if I can talk them down.
If anybody sees anything in Seattle could you let me know? This is the only car that I have been able to find online in WA and I know there has to be more out there!

Does anybody know anything about Auto Finders out of Oregon? Got a call from them and they take your order, give you a list of cars available to buy at factory sales, CARFAX the one(s) you want, then buy the car and you go pick it up (verify upon arrival). They send you pics and stuff as well, and they buy for wholesale price and sell just a little above that. Sounds pretty cool and I think that I'm going to get my car through these guys, but if anyone has any feedback I'd appreciate it >:}
(Also gonna call the Oregon Better Business Bureau to check 'em out. If I do get one from them I'll let you know how it goes.)
