Damn Whistling Noise!!

Ever since I got the car, there's been a whistling noise above 5K RPM. I figured it was the exhaust, so I took a look and the front donut gasket and the gasket between the cat and resonator (causing a bit of raspiness) needed changing.

So today i got them changed. The raspiness is gone but the whistle is still there!!! As mentioned in other posts, I changed the climate settings to recycle instead of fresh air and it's still there.

Now we need to come to a conclusion for this. It doesn't really bother me that much... it's actually kinda funny but I still wanna figure it out. I've been tryin to figure out what it is, but no luck whatsoever. Please help.

I'm assuming you're traveling fast on the freeway by this?....if so...same thing happened with me when I first got my P5....whistle went away when I removed the roof rack. Go figure?...but no more * car whistle * on the freeway.

On another note.... it happens if I'm moving and rev it past 5K. Not only on the highway... anywhere, no matter what gear or what speed.. it whistles!

Pop your hood and rev it from there.
If you hear the noise from the engine bay check you IM and throttle body gaskets.

I don't think it's wind noise. My car does the same thing, when it gets to the higher rpms while going through the gears it will wistle sometimes. It almost sounds like something you'd get from autozone to mimic a BOV noise....anyway, it only does it in cooler temps so I figured it was some seal somewhere. Nice to know I'm not the only one with it......

Ya, it is more noticeable in the cooler temps and it's coming from the engine bay for sure, considering the exhaust was fixed today...
