CX-70 Good fuel efficiency on first long-ish drive

CX-70 Turbo S P+, Color: Polymetal Gray Metallic
Went on a for about 160 miles total to from my destination. I was reliably getting 30+ mpg. I felt I could have gotten more if I didn't get caught in traffic for about 30 minutes in my way back home. I am still under 2k miles so haven’t reached my first service as yet.

Everyone else getting similar or more?

Same here. Our Turbo-S gives us 30-33 MPG on the Highway, 26-27 in town.

@Magnumcello That’s awesome! Did a long drive of 500 miles over the weekend and the most I got was 31.8 before it started to level off to about 30.5. I would love to get to 33 though. I will see if it gets better after my first oil change.

Using premium or regular?

We've put 5,000 miles on ours. The only time that we have used Premium is when we are towing the boat, Hard to tell if there is a mileage difference between Regular vs Premium.

As a side note, we just took it in for its first oil change. The oil level was still exactly on the "Full" mark, and the oil itself was still remarkably clean.

Did you check oil level electronically or did you use the dipstick ?
Dipstick placement is obviously meant to be hard to reach.I also find it weird that you can not repeat electronic oil level check on same day.

I used the dipstick, as I wanted to assess the condition of the oil. Aside from lifting the engine cover, it was not inconvenient.

I’m not sure how you guys are getting into the 30+ MPG on the highway. I can’t seem to keep it below 80 and speed limit in New Jersey is 65. It makes driving I’m averaging about 19 MPG I haven’t taken on any long distance drives yet, but I always feel with 93 octane by the way I have the high output version if that matters.

We also have the Turbo-S. I use the Cruise Control as much as possible. If it automatically slows down because of traffic in front of me, I disable the Cruise and gradually bring it back up to speed before reactivating the Cruise. I have also set the following distance as short as possible.

With 7,000 miles on it we're showing 27.2 MPG average since new.

My car only has 1400 miles so I’m hoping once I put some more miles on it I’ll get better gas mileage. And yes, I use cruise control as much as possible.
