CX-5 Whoop noise

I know this has been on here before but Occasionally I hear a noise best described as a whoop. It doesn't occur regularlyand my best guess is that something is venting. Does anyone have more information?

Not in the CX but I occasionally hear a whoop noise when I'm in my MX and I take a fun corner at speed. I then realize that the whoop noise is coming from me.

Mine is a 2019 GT and it happens when I'm just driving. I haven't noticed any particular car position when it happens. It happens when driving straight, stopped at a traffic light but I haven't noticed it happening in a turn.

Having swapped out my intake for a CorkSport one, what you describe sounds a lot like what I experience now at times....turbo noise....mostly when I get off of the throttle.

2021 wife has brought it in several times for a squeal sound. Has not been found by Mazda yet.

Cooling system expansion valve needs to be replaced, check with your dealer, there is a hotline established for this. Mazda will fight it, be persistent. See my whole experience under 2018 CX5 whoop noise on this forum
