So I got a corksport front strut tower bar for christmas today and when I went to go install it, it did not fit. The passenger side fit great and slid right in, while on the drivers side only one bolt hole lined up. I wanted to post here before I actually call CS (it is christmas) and maybe get some feed back on if i need two people to shimmy it in since I cannot adjust both sides at the same time or something like that. I do not have much expierence with doing car mods but this is take bolts off, put bar in, put bolts back on and I do not see how I could have done something so wrong as to make it not line up correctly

On another note, be careful when re-tightening the nuts with the bar in place. It's really easy to strip the bolt on the shock tower (~$30 to replace the part), so don't try to tighten for "iron grip" or they may spin and you've done damage lol.

Try turning it around. Who knows? Sometimes we don't think of the obvious. :)

For sure try turning them both at all angles. You are installing with the bar disconnected I assume which does make the task easier.

I did indeed. My friend came over and installed it. As a noob to car mods it appeared from the directions and what it looked like; just a metal bar that it looked straight bolt on. which is true but I did not know that you had to be rough with it and really force it to go on. Once my friend explained to me how this bar actually worked and changed how the suspension works it made sense as to why it would need to fit so tightly and why it takes some force to put it on. I have always been under the impression with most stuff like this is do not try to force it since breaking a bolt sucks.

If I were to leave feedback; I would say in the directions put a note or something that says will require a bit of force to get the bar on or something like that. But other than that it works great and really reduces the body roll by a very large amount.

I will bring that up with the engineers to see if they can get a note in the installation instructions.

Thanks
Derrick
