Hey everyone! just wanted to take a second to let everyone know how great the guys at CPE are. I have never experienced the kind of customer service that i received from CPE. These guys are amazing and have an awesome shop. These guys personally helped me with my car on their own time until the problem was resolved! they didn't tale a penny! they just wanted me to be happy with my car and their product ( the standback ). Lou is the MOTHER F***ING man! lol Anthony, and Jordan are great too. They are serious about their jobs and make quality products. These guys are extremely intelligent and love what they do. Its people like them that create the loyal customer-sales relationship that many renowned companies have today. After seeing how much they care and how great their products are, I decided to stick with them. Im planning to buy everything they make for the speed3!

PS. I'm not trying to belittle other companies out there. I know there are alot of great companies that make similar parts. Im just putting in my 2 cents, Im just really surprised at how great the CPE team and company is.

PPS. All you CPE haters out there... im willing to bet my car that if you guys actually took the time to learn a little about CPE; their shop capabilities and equipment ( they , and actually took the time to speak to them you would change your minds! Bottom line cpe is great!

THE STANDBACK IS AWESOME BY THE WAY!

The standback has attributed to alot of other problems with members as well.

Sorry dude, that's pure speculation on your part. The only instances I'm aware of are lean codes after installing the standback but the cars in question had AEM/Mazdaspeed CAIs. Those setups eff up the fuel trims at idle (and everywhere else) and the that's what causes the code. Because the CAI was first and the effed up fuel trims stayed in the parameter range (barely) everyone blames the standback. Had the install gone the other way, everyone would be killing the AEM/Mazdaspeed CAI.

Dadas and Laloosh.

Why don’t you two just call each other and discuss your issues like grown men instead of filling these board with your personal battles. Myself and probably the majority of others don’t care to read your same argument over and over again. I for one don’t appreciate having "I hate CP-E" (not meant as a direct quote) type comments constantly thrust in my face. On the other hand i also don’t understand nor do i want an explanation of the constant and relentless CP-E defense from Dadas.

We are all capable of making up our own minds of whom we deal with when it comes to our cars, lets face, it is just a car and not worth the bitterness which you both display.
I have purchased CP-E products and had some issues, they worked with me to resolve them, I am not bitter for my troubles nor do they have my business for life, it’s that simple.

Why piss on this guys thread if you don’t have to…

I like my CP-E product...its the only one in the market. Yes, prices might be high, but its understandable when you're the only one with the design; catted DP. Service was pretty good to me too...

I buy from everyone...I don't discriminate. Unless you give me crappy service.

You said it.

If you don't like a vendor it's pretty easy to not buy from them. Sharing your experience is one thing. Beating it into the ******* ground time and time again makes it sound like you're on a crusade. I've seen people on this forum constantly nut swing on a certain vendor as being the best thing out there. My experience from them wasn't nearly as pleasant. I don't feel the need to hammer my experience home every time a possible venue shows itself. In fact, unless someone asks me through a PM, I don't say anything anymore.
We're all smart people. We can decide for ourselves. I've never given CP-E a red cent. I've been treated like I am a long time customer. Jordan and Josh have been stellar. I didn't get that kind of treatment from places that currently had several hundred dollars of my money. YMMV.

you said it yourself for what it is I like the Standback but I prefer the Xede I don't like the base maps you get with the units unless you are stock. I have seen the units make good horsepower so there is no arguing that they are doing something for people. In the case of Chris' car I personally think he might have a bad unit or a really bad tune but that is my opinion.

it wasnt a bad tune, the standback doesnt fix any kind of fuel cut besides the one induced by the map. The only reason i bought it is because i bought into all the hype about it....sadly i wasted 600 bucks because of bulls*** spread on here. People need to know what it is, what it does, and what it doesnt. Same goes for cpe as a company. People need to know who they are, who they arnt and how they do things

Not harping on the guy, but getting on your knees for an aftermarket company on your second post ever, is always going to look suspicious to me.

some people are just lurkers dude... he has probably been reading a lot, but had a good experience with CP-E so he wanted to share. i don't see whats bad about this...

So i know I've only posed a few things. However, me asking about 18psi and 350whp was after speaking to some people that deal with the speed vehicles and going by what i was told. I'm not big on forums because somehow every topic turns in to an argument. I spend more time modding my car than browsing the forums. (a side note: I'm a med student that goes to school and works so excuse me if i don't have as much free time as some of you.) Cp-e helped me a lot i just thought people should know it and they deserved some credit! I merely as some one said voiced my opinion and did not bad mouth anyone!

there is more talk in this thread about how there is going to be a flame war then there actually being one... so unless you have something contructive to say about CPE don't add your comments... thanks

You should have seen the IS300 community I was in before I bought the Speed3. Now that was a place to just keep to yourself till you're known. Just about any "noob" question was bombed with "SEARCH STUPID NOOB" comments for days. SOme people were good but overall it is was a pretty nasty place. It's not so bad in here.

my.is? If so, I'm a member over there as well, and yeah. If you ask any question at all, you get destroyed, lol.

As far as everything else goes, I have the CP-e CAI. No problems, no hydrolock, nothing falling of my car, people around me aren't randomly bursting into flames, the world is still spinning. I had one issue during installation, I called Jordan on a Saturday afternoon when he shoulda been chilling, and he helped me out no problem. Everything has been gravy since then. The only reason I haven't bought their DP/MP combo is I just can't justify the price. If it cost the same shipped as the Corksport DP and MP, then I'd be all over that ish.

This thread will be cleaned and put back on topic and on track...Those of you who continue to bash CP-E despite multiple warnings (you know who you are) will be removed from the community because EVERYONE is SICK of your negative attitude and endless rants!

Note the following site rule AGAIN:

Vendor and merchant disputes from customers must be handled privately. Negative reviews for vendors can only be posted after (a) direct communication to the vendor has failed, and (b) you have contacted a forum administrator or super moderator explaining the situation and have gained permission to post a negative review. Personal attacks towards a merchant or vendor authorized to do business on the forums is strictly prohibited. Mazda Forums has a zero tolerance policy towards unwarranted attacks on vendors and merchants (users with the title "Authorized Vendor" or "Authorized Merchant Member" under their username). They are the "lifeline" of the Mazda aftermarket. Making unwarranted attacks, or negative reviews without proper permission, against vendors or merchants can result in an immediate and permanent ban without warning.

Thread opened!

*Update...laloosh has been banned for 6 months for ignoring previous warnings to STOP bashing CP-E and to STOP disrupting the forums.

laloosh Antoine 02-26-2008 182 Days 08-26-2008, Hours Keep it up and you will be permanently banned!

**UPDATE...laloosh has now been permanently banned for ignoring his first ban by creating not just 1 but at least 3 additional usernames.

This is a direct violation of the following site rule:

13. Circumventing a temporary or permanent ban is strictly prohibited. Mazda forums has a zero tolerance policy towards users who re-register additional account(s) to circumvent their ban, meaning those accounts are subject to an immediate and permanent ban without warning.

This thread will stay on topic and CP-E will no longer be bashed on Mazda Forums!

I would really appreciate everyones cooperation in this matter.

Thank you.

Back OT; yah, I've only got good things to say about CPE. They are one of the only companies committed to make product for my car (CX-7), so how could I not support them by buying product! :p

never had a cpe tbe on my car, just shows how much u know. You dotn have the SLIGHTEST clue as to what happened with me and cpe and the fuel pump issues. Its on here, about 30 pages long and locked, go search then speak. The only two cpe products i had on my car were their intake, which i liked, however it hitt he gear shifter no matter what you do unless u upgrade the rear mount, and the standback, which is the biggest pos imo. quality parts? 0 for 2 according to me.

Mine doesn't hit the gearshifter, ever? Only part of thers I have on the car ATM. So far 1 for 1. You got bad service from them, I got good service from them. So, the question remains, whose right?

We have felt it. I've checked it out because the first day I had it, I was worried it would hit. I ran through the gears, and my buddy, with his hand in between the assembly and the intake, said it never came close. The other day I was cleaning up my engine bay and dusting off the intake. I checked again to see if it hit when driving, knowing how much our mounts move. Nothing. So far so good. And yes, stock mount.

I've been happy with CP-E and they are currently working hard to address my issue with their DP. Can't ask for more.

I'm a happy camper!!! :)

either u got lucky or you need to shift harder

Shift harder...? (dunno)
Why is there a need to shift hard? Are you trying to shift threw the dash and out the firewall...?

Driving is all about finess... There is no need to have the grip of death while shifting or shift so hard your going to rip the shifter off the floor.

I shift with my palms, nice and smoothly, letting the shifter go where it wants. I don't understand why people think driving fast means to abuse the car...my little 19 yr old brother drives that way...until I taught him better. The first time he test drove my car, I thought he was going to rip my shift knob off... (lol2)
No wonder people have shifting issues...

what are you talking about? When did i say it was your fault?

When you said I need to shift harder. I flat s*** the s*** out of this thing when I'm running from a dig, and thats the only thing I could think of when you say I need to "shift harder".
