CP-E Nano Installtion Question

I just received the Nano SRI from ********** and looking at the instructions, I remove the stock air box but it also want's the lower silencer removed. From what I'm seeing, this has no direct effect or interference with the installation.

Is it possible to leave the silencer in or will it reduce air flow / noise from the SRI.

If so, does anyone have any easy guides for removal? The instructions suggest jacking up the car and removing fender bolts and it will just fall out? Does the tire need to be removed as well?

Thanks for the help. I'll probably have some time this weekend to post up a How-To installation for radar detectors so your don't get Laser Falses on acceleration.

The instructions on my Cobb SRI didn't mention anything about the lower assembly. It's been working perfectly fine (great sound!), but I have been wondering about that, though.

I'd imagine that you could just remove the fender lining and you'll be able to remove it.

Finally completed the install. The silencer will not come out of the lining if its a first gen 2006 model. I had to partially remove the bumper to get it to come out. Removing the tire would have worked as well.

It feels a bit faster, is stupid loud and the hesitation is gone. I'm sure ill see some better performance once the ECU figures out what it's doing.

My OCD is getting the best of me though. I keep checking to make sure the hose clamps are tight.

There was a few fitment issues caused by the hose that attaches to the block and intake. I took it on a hard 10 minute drive and no CEL. So I hope for the best!

give it some time to accumulate some miles and relearn and that intake will start to really work its magic.
