I didn't custom order my Eibach's. We'll see how much the ones off the shelf lower my car. I have seen a lot of different numbers reported.

To do the job yourself the only special tool you need is a spring compressor.

You will need a spring compressor for the front. Standard tools other than that.

Autozone or Advance Auto rents them out. I ended up buying one though on Amazon. Not too expensive.

Make sure whatever you get that they are for MacPherson type struts.
