Cobb or CPE tuning for the following mods?

I currently only have an intake, FMIC, and BOV. Coming out of warranty this summer, so I was going to get the GT2871R, PG turbo mani, PG turbo inlet, ATP Downpipe, and possibly a CPE upgraded fuel pump, depending on my AFR's. I am also going to install a wideband, but the bad thing is, where I am from, the closest AWD tuning is about a 4 hour drive, not really into doing that. Im looking for more of a "bolt on" tune. I know I will get more of a custom tune with CPE, but again, not really what I'm looking for. At the same time I dont really see where COBB has a MAP for the setup I am going with. So with all that being said, any recommendations?

You are going to need a custom tune either way I think. If you are going big turbo you should go with the Standback, The SB folks have figured out some things with the fuel system that have not been replicated by Cobb (yet). What is emissions testing like where you live? You will definitely want to upgrade your fuel pump.

I can understand not wanting to drive 4 hours for a tune, could you find a place closer that can help you with a good street tune?

No emissions testing here. I could maybe get someone to help me with a street tune, I didn't think about that. Good call. The major problem is no AWD dyno close to here. So any tune would have to be done in the car on the street. Thanks for the input.

No problem. I am a Cobb guy myself, but I think the SB would be the best solution for you if you don't have to worry about emissions. The only other issue is the SB will be a bit more costly than the AP (when you include all the other things that you will need to make it work), but I think it will be worth it. Also, IDK if the 2871 will bolt on to a PG mani without some custom flanges. From what I understand a T3/T4 will though so maybe you could make things easier and go that route.

I may be wrong. Ask the PG guys, or I can next time I see them. Why are you stuck on the 2871 (its a good unit I know)?

If you are looking at that used SB you should get one that will work with a PnP harness (a must in my opinion), and that one looks like it has been directly wired. I don't know how much of a PITA it would be to use with the PnP harness.

Well, I used to have the wired version on my car (I took it out for just in case reasons on some warranty issues and I ended up selling it), so I already have the harness wired into my wiring harness. I did forget to mention that. Id just have to get the Standback and plug it in. The reason why I want to stick with the 2871 is because I know it can make the power I am looking for, without straining. Also, IMHO, its a more popular choice, so if I have any problems, I have unlimited help.

Hummm, I didnt know that. Will it fit on the DNP? Id rather stick with the 2871.

Get the DNP mani over the PG, much better quality, esp when running a BT. And you could use the AP, but it would be a hassle, and there's a load cap (torque wall for lack of a better term) engrained in our ECUs, and only the SB + CPE flashes can get around it up to this point. You can tune around it in a very round about way with the AP, but only to a point. Ask smoker6, because he has the 2871, and the DNP mani as well (I think), and uses the AP. Problem is, the load cap varies from car to car. The AP does not have access to all the ECU tables, and I don't think Cobb is motivated to do anything about it (=not gonna happen imo, no $ in it for them).

Congrats on all the upcoming mods!
