does anyone know how easy it is to replace a clutch yourself? and if anyone has a write up on that..i didnt see one in the "how to" section...any help is appreciated

It's not to hard, there is a how to around. I have in a PDF on my othher computer for it

When I get home I'll get it to you.

Here is a how to thread for the transmission removal: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67599

I believe you can follow this up to about post #8 to have the transmission off. Once the transmission is off, the clutch is right there. You may not have to do everything said. I think he took off some extra stuff.

Also, if you want, here is the entire how to list I found: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123715657&highlight=transmission+fluid

that's what i meant.

replacing the clutch isnt hard. put the flyhweel on. (make sure you put the bolts on like a star) then torque them. put the clutch alignment tool in the clutch. put that in the fywheel then put the pressure plate over. torque the pressure plate the same way as the flywheel. the hardest part of all of it is getting the transmission out. its a b****

Yep getting the trans out of they way sucks. But I did it myself so you shouldn't have a problem. It's pretty straight foward.
