I have a 2008 Mazda5 with all stock parts. I'm getting a clunking noise from near the rear driver side tire. The clunking started after it got really cold, but now that it has warmed up a little it is still clunking. Also around the same time the clunking started, it was a bouncy ride. Almost like the shocks are stiff? I climbed into the back and bounced up and down and listened, but only heard the normal shock noises. I lifted the car up and checked the sway bar bushings also but those are still tight. Anything that could have been rolling and bouncing around is fastened down. The nearest Mazda dealer is about 300 miles and i don't want to take it there unless i have to. If i can get a sound clip of it i will post one.
