Clunk in the rear suspension (AFTER the AXR clunk fix kit)

I just saw this thread and maybe I can offer a few explainations about things that can go wrong with the your rear suspension, especially when a clunk kit is installed.

Q. My damn squeak is back
A. Grease the bushings, that is why I shipped out greasable bushings

Q. I grease it and the squeak returns in a few weeks
A. You are using the wrong grease. Buy some synthetic water resistant lithium complex grease

Q. The clunk has returned.
A. It is unlikely that the bushings are shot unless you used the wrong grease in which case the energy suspension bushings are probably damaged beyond use. Buy new ones, the part number is [FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]9.5157

Q. I don't think my bushings are shot but the clunk is back.
A. You probably have worn end links or one or both of your struts is starting to leak. Also, if you lowered your car you need longer end links. The sway bar and the ends of the bar should be an equal distance from the ground when the car is parked on flat ground. Also, the sway bar should be equal heights above ground at both sides/ends of the car when parked on flat ground.

Q. I get wierd clunks that sounds like banging on metal with a metal hammer
A. You probably bent something or your trailing arm bushings are worn out. Seek a professional if you are mechanically retarded.

I hope this helps.

p.s. If you did not lower your car and you are replacing your end links I suggest you use stock end links, they will make less noise then AWR end links. (I FOUND THIS OUT THE EXPENSIVE WAY)

I also want to add that I have over 25,000kms on my kit, with about 23,000kms on the greasable bushings and I have not had any problems.

also the awr endlinks will clunk also, i just took mine out. they come with rubber o rings that act like bushings and once the rubber wears down, it will get loud again. i just used the stock endlinks, they last longer cause its a sealed greased boot. just my 2 cents

i dont have any squeek till about 6 months then i grease them with the proper grease and tgehy are fine for anther 6 months.

I am going to have to take off the greasable bushings to grease them, because the grease nipple is against a bar and it's impossible to get a grease gun in there.

The car is lowered, so I'll try the AWR links, maybe that's the problem. If not, I'll try new bushings. And I used Energy grease on them. If that doesn't fix it, I'll have to look into the trailing arm bushings and see if anything bent, but everything looked right when I was under there.

Also, where can I buy those bushings? We don't have too many performance shops around here, and I don't like to buy online from the states b/c they usually ship with UPS and kill me on brokerage. Any Canadian sites offering it?
