Anybody know how you can clean a hydroshield (the sock thingy that fits over your cone air filters to keep water off)? It is ok to scrub it with soap and water? Mine looked pretty dirty when I was changing my filter, but I didn't know if soap or scubbing would harm the "water repellent" properties of the fabric. I did a quick search and couldn't find any good info online.

I would not actively scrub it because I think it'd wipe off the water-repellant coating. I would probably lightly rinse the dust and grime off with lukewarm water, relatively gently. And let it completely air dry before reinstalling.

you can do it two ways,

1. soak it in warm water and car washing detergent
2. air compressor blowing from inside out.
