Chrome lower molding

Bought some 3/4" chrome molding and cut it to match the uppermost line on the lower molding. Mazda should have done this in the first place. It really makes a drastic difference. People can't believe it isn't stock.

I bought some cheap 4mm chome molding as well from Ebay which I placed in the same spot... just on the uppermost part of the black cladding. I also felt that with the chrome everywhere else that the bottom of the vehicle was lacking.

Mine is more subtle than what you did, but does the trick. And it cost me somewhere around $2-$3 shipped.
 
What a great idea... Sounds like my next project.

I did something like this with my CX-7 near the driving lights.... just four little strips made a big difference.

Here is my CX-9 with 1/2" Trim..... I also put some trim on the front covers where the driving lights would be on a GT
