Checking lines

I just purchased my speed 3 and I heard tightening some lines with t-ties to prevent slipping. I remeber seeing a post on it, but can't find it. Exactly where can I find the ties, and which four lines should I tighten? Thanks

You basically wanna ensure that all connections from the intake all the way to the throttle body are tight.

That means (working from intake to TB):

1 - check the clamp where the intake inlet attaches to the turbo (this one is the most likely culprit for loosening up)

2 - check the clamp that connects the other side of the turbo to the boost hose that then connects to the back side of the intercooler - check that intercooler clamp too

3 - check the clamp that connects the near/front side of the intercooler cold pipe to the boost hose that then connects to the throttle body - check that TB clamp too

I heard I should switch them out for a better tie, I think they said a t tie. I could be wrong, but pics of these clamps would be great if possible. Thanks

They're called t-bolt clamps. Do a google and you should come up with them - I know vibrantperformance has them. I just used them on the boost tube coming out of the turbo and into the intercooler as with the ETS the space between the intercooler and the turbo is a bit longer ... don't need them anywhere else IMO.

You're only trying to hold about 16 PSI. Any clamp, properly tightened, can easily do that. No need to swap them out.

Now, getting to all of them to ensure they are tight, that can be tricky. For the life of me, I cannot get to the clamp on the throttle body.
