Ok after seeing the 4th person this month who has paid nearly $20 for a silly
02 bung, I've decided I'll share some much warranted info. For all of $3.59 and a drill you can get TWO o2 bungs!!! Simply go down to your local autozone/discount and stroll on down to the HELP section. Grab a set of the antifoulers(there are 2 types make sure to grab the standard thread ones) and proceed to your garage/shop/kitchen table... I use a drill press for the next part, which makes it supremely easy, but a hand drill will work also. There are 2 steps left. First you'll want to use a 1/2" bit to drill out the center hole on the antifouler, THEN you'll use a hacksaw/bandsaw/etct to cut off the end as needed for length...for 95% of applications you will slice it off at the "step"...I do the cutting second b/c it fits perfectly in the hole i have on the baseplace of my drill press, but I suppose you could cut first then drill. Then just weld it in and go take your girl to bennigans with the extra money you saved! Its a fairly simply process, but if needed I suppose I could make a how-to with pics and whatnot in the next few weeks...

I buy my 02 bungs from www.LSDmotorsports.com i think for about $3-$6 with the a plug...also the local auto parts store sells them for dirt cheap too, just need to ask...but not the chain places like advanced auto... the guy there told me I'd have to get an 02 bung from the junk yard LOL

Anyways good idea but i think you can fidn them for around the same price and less work...

ah good deal loser...didn't know that...learn something new everyday...

jce I'm going to assume you're being sarcastic.... :P

What is an O2 bung and what does it do?

O2 bung is were your 02 sensors screw into on your exhaust. DSMConvert is telling people were to get them so they can either run their sensors on a custom exhaust or also add an extra bung for a wideband. Some places carry them cheap, others dont.

I cant find the bungs on the website..

I bought a pack of non foulers for $4.50, they had them for $1 each but a pack of 12 was $4.50 so I got the pack drilled them all to size and have been handing them out to my friends like candy.

hehe well none the less this thread seems to have fulfilled its intentions, we now have several options for reasonably priced o2 bungs...

Or you can use an 18 mm x 1.5 Hex jam nut and weld it in. $0.50 later.... We get them from a fastener supplier, but buy them in bulk. If they will sell them one to ten at a time, that is the way to go. Plugs are a little bit more expensive though.
