just say NO to micromanagement...and everyone shut the **** up...there are far more important things in life to worry about

Of course there's much more important things to worry about. This is just an online message board.....your friends, family, jobs, and health are much more important then checking out the forum to see if there's any replies to your 'I want to make my Protege fast' thread.

That said, this forum is an excellent source of information for us, and this major clean-up in the MSP section is long overdue. Like I mentioned before, I honestly don't think the board needs seperate performance/appearance/etc. sections for each car at this time.

Mr Jinx - Closest thing to a "Whine Here" section is the Flamewars section....some crazy stuff goes on in there. I just wish all that junk would stay there instead of cluttering the meaningful posts.

There are 90,000 posts in the MAZDASPEED section, the higest on the board, not having them organized is retarted!

So enry has time to read through and close threads but not to organize the forum.

I'll say it again, every car section in this forum needs to be subdivided down to understandable sections.

Not having most of them moved/consolidated/deleted is retarded.

Consolidation will not help, it needs seperate areas for easy viewing. It's not just the MAZDASPEED section, every section should have it. This way all the people find things. The miata area should have subdivisions also! It just makes sence. You go to the SRT forums and it's all organized with a ton of seperate areas.

http://srtforums.com/forums/index.php?s=&menu=2

So I guess this was just a big waste of time. Looks like we will never have a normal forum with seperate areas for every car.

Since this vote is not closed, I vote for NO leav the forums the way they were!

I say leave it the way it is. I dont understand why some mods have this personal vendetta to make people like and use their subforums. If you want to use it fine, if not then don't. The previous system worked well. Now usability has been shot to hell, and if you want to just browse you have click to read different subjects.

also another thing that really bothers me is how threads that speak out against the subforums are closed. Its like they just can't handle the critisism.

The previous system worked like absolute s***.

The threads were closed because the system isn't fully implemented yet. We still need to code some things that will make useability just as good as it was before.

Please refrain from making any comments, good or bad, until we are finished, and until you give the new system a chance. It is pointless and counterproductive to complain about something that isn't even completed.

Thats your opinion, but I dont share it. Maybe instead if some effort was made into letting people know what the "master plan" is there wouldn't be as many questions flying around.

As for comments, I call it like I see it. It's up to you whether you to ignore it if you wish, won't bother me any.

The 'master plan' has already been explained. More than once, actually. But I'll do it again --

The 'main' MSP section will display ALL of the threads in ALL of the subfolders in descending order by date. This will make the main forum display like the subfolders don't even exist.

You will not be able to post a new thread in the 'main' section. You will have to first enter the proper subforum, and post your thread there. HOWEVER, it will be displayed in the main forum, so everybody will see it.

The 'main' forum will always display the 40 or whatever most recent threads in all of the subforums.

So...

The only difference in useability from the old system (before subforums were even created) and the new system is you will need to make one extra click to post a new thread. That's it.

posting exactly what you posted here as a sticky would greatly reduce the questions. Especially for people like me who are unaware of what is going on. thanks for the heads up.
