CD Player "Flipped" out??

Ok I know I have seen this thread on here before, I Think??.. But anyway, I didn't read it because it didn't pertain to me at the time. NOW IT DOES!!!!

The other night coming home from work I was listening the new outkast "speakerbox" and my cd player turned itself off and flipped half-way around. Beat the heck outta me what happened... It still sits like now for 2 days..

Is this what has happened to other MSPer's??? What did they do to fix it??

any feedback will be appreciated.. thanks

christ oh mighty its called a search button. learn it,use it,live it would ya

Well if you know the search button so personly then why did you even read my thread, just mind your own business and search all you want but stay outta my thread.!!

Well the first thing you should have done was check the manual :-P. This has happened to me where my unit just went retarded. All you have to do is get a straightened paper-clip or like object, look at the stereo face place and somewhere to the right side of it there's a little tiny hole, insert paperclip and it'll hard restart your unit....say goodbye to all your custom settings though.

I had that happen after I got the flash done. I had to press the upper left hand corner of the stereo (not to hard...) to make it flip back around again. Maybe that'll help....?....?

I agree with Twisted - if you know there's a thread on it why don't you find it and read it? More people than you'd realize hate re-hashing the same crap over and over.

try the reset button in the back of the unit. that usually fixes it

Thats what ya do guys. Same thing happened to me last week. I was driving at night and the radio went out and stayed half way flipped. Looked for the reset which is kinda small and used a pen to hit it and everything started back. Just had to set everything up again though:mad:

Oh and that button is right on the face, its next to the SRC or the other blue button, its really small... dammit i cant remember the other button next to SRC but look for a lil plush button next to those two blue buttons. The manual will show you too.

Today when installing the new boost gauge something similar happened. Well, maybe not similar, but the speakers all just quit working... except the sub??? pushed the reset button and now it's all back and working fine again.

Lol........Mine did that too.....
Except it did it when the car had 8miles on it and I was performing the pdi.

If you turn the radio to "All Off" (no CD, no radio, no Sirius), press and hold the preset 4 button to access the menu. Go until you see "Builtin AMP Mute" or something like that and turn it off.

That's when the unit is turned completely off. What this is is when the headunit locks up in a horizontal position. It's a glaw in the headunit that casuses it.

just bring it back its under warrenty u get new radio and dont look stupid at a light banging on your dash board.

This has happened to me twice in the last month, I'm starting to get pissed. I have to re-do all the sound settings and re-input all my FM and Sirius presets every damn time it does this... If it happens again, I'm taking it to the dealer. If it continues with a new head unit, I'm saving up for a new head unit that will just work, and hopefully play AAC files in addition to MP3's...

I feel the same way and if it happens anymore I will do the same.

Sadly, I already have my Sirius equipment, which uses proprietary kenwood connections, so I have to stick with Kenwood products. Oh well, hopefully their other models are more reliable.
