caliper painting

um... ok whatever, the brakes on the porsche g3 are further from g2 caliper painted protege brakes.
True, true.
I just wanted to make a point that the G2 system is one of the best on the market, . Far from "pep boy caliper paint" I would not even be surprised if it is better or the same quality as to what Porsche, Brembo and AMG use. I'm not saying the protege calipers, but the paint itself.
In some cases I'm sure most of these companies powder coat their calipers not paint.

caliper painting
i was asking my friend, whos a mechanic at a VW dearler, about painting my p5's calipers. he said it was a bad idea because it could lock the heat in and cause some brake warping.

Did you end up painting them? How did it go and what did you use? Sorry to dig up an olde but I thought I would check and see if the input helped.

nope i havn't had the time to, or the money. i am considering getting some Brembo cross drilled and slotted brakes, then do it all together.

I bought my yellow caliper paint from pep boys and painted my calipers the other weekend. True...it didn't come out as nice as G2, but I was pretty satisfied with the quality a 5 dollar can bought me. :)
