CAI/SRI effect in Ontario?

This thread is going out to ontario, I'm not sure if Cali has it too but here it is.

Every two years in ontario, we are forced to do an emission test (e-test) to make sure that our vehicles are safe for our environment, meaning not pushing out bad fumes that will damage our air.

When i use to have my old car ('92 323), it kept failing due to the result of my CAI when I had one installed. Now the question is, do any of you had any problems doing an e-test while having your CAI or SRI installed in your p5's?
I just wanted to make sure before I myself get a CAI installed in my p5 ahah.(crazy)

I don't think a CAI would cause any problems with emissions. I'm surprised your other car failed because of it.

Yeah, i agree with you. The funny thing is, it did fail with it on. I changed my cat converter as well as my muffler on that car and it failed. As soon as i swapped my CAI to the OEM box air filter, it surprisingly passed lol. don't know how or why, maybe it has somethign to do with the air going through? i dont' know aha(stash)

I have done numerous modifications to my cars in the past and have to pass an emissions test every year and not once have I failed. I had about 10k dollars worth of mods on my Cobra (including a CAI), and I never had an issue so I really doubt a cold air will fail you.

I live in ontario and passed no problem with my SRI.

Oh, and for local advice, go do toprotege dot com.
