I need to route two 4mm permanent live cables from the main battery fuse bar (Fused at 100amp) into two 30a fuses and through the bulkhead to a towing connector. I cannot find a way through the bulkhead at all... Anybody done this for the purposes of towing? Andy tips or photo's appreciated.

If there are no existing openings you may need to make one or cut through the factory boot to push your wires through.

4mm cables running 30A. Wow - can I watch the fireworks after you have installed that?! LOL

Your car is right hand drive? The firewall penetration is behind the airconditioner blower - which is behind the glovebox.. It is a real PITA to get through. I ran a single 16mm cable for my audio. Best way is to take the battery out and feed in from engine bay into the footwell of passenger seat.

Does your car have istop? If so - removing the battery terminals will reset it and need to be recalibrated.

NOt something I would want to attemp personally for fear of invalidating something expensive :) - But I will see how things go.

Thanks, that is what I wanted to hear :) - I think I will invest in some much bigger cable though :)
Naaa, 4mm should be fine. ;) - You are right, it needs to be around 12mm for a 5m run at 30a 12v - My bad :o

It does have istop, but I have removed the battery 3 times already and not had any issues? - Maybe I should ask Mazda afterwards?
Much appreciated advice and info guys.

Ok.. Sussed it. Remove battery. Remove battery Tray. Locate flexible rubber bulkhead grommet (Looks like small black elephant trunk), push wire through this :) Jobs a good'n.
