bug shield/ hood protector

any one install a mazda hood protector on their cx5 ? anything I should know before I install one?

I did, be careful to get the hood clean and dry... the sides on mine are pulling up

I installed the OEM hood protector on my cx-5. It looks good and seems to work fine. The warning above is true. I haven't had problems with mine.

No problems here. Been through 2 summers and winters. Just be sure to have it lined up properly before removing the backing on the tape.

I pull mine off once a year to get some wax on the whole hood. The push pins/rivets are not reusable so I bought a bag from the dealer quite cheap...part number J001-56-741. You do need to put new 2 sided tape on the ends if you remove the protector. I like having it and I think it adds to the look of the front nose. Don't think it is going to offer much protection except for the very front edge/lip.....most of these protectors are really for looks more than protection.
