Broken Recall Motor Mount

Here are the pics of the broken motor mount, please let me know if you see more damage than just the mount, are axles and joints ok.......

Wow, thanks for the pictures! This is the first time someone actually posted some decent pics showing the actual damage to the mount and not just the engine leaning to one side. Sorry about that dude.

Looks like you might need new axles, but it's hard to say for sure. The bolt is still intact and looks fine. The mount itself just broke apart. Damn.....

What was your mileage again? I wonder if the metal itself in some of these mounts are just weak.

When mine broke over Xmas.
mine was
bolt
mount
drivers side axle
engine wirring harness, (pull out plug instead of fixing them they replaced it all)
and axle seal in drivers side.

damn dude... that really really sucks. Ive heard that it was bad when it breaks but these pics are just really hard to look at. That poor engine!!! Dude keep me informed on everything with this.

3inch dp back greddy turbo exhaust

he's running a custom 3 inch straight pipe from dp back with greddy turbo muffler. As stated on the "other" forum

That isn't the mount that broke, it is the bracket between the mount and transmission. Sorry to hear, I hope this isn't going to be a problem for anyone else.

alien do u know what was the cost of the repair

bolt $3.00
mount $22,00
axle $300.00
wiring harness $600.00
seal $?? (dont knwo didnt get that receipt it was a second trip)

with labor it was like $2300.00 all covered uunder warranty. Not including the rental car.

I have the receipt in a file at home ill try to find exact price.
I was told to look at the part number also. Even though we had a recall mount there might be an even newer one. My dealership said look to see if when the recall work was done, and now and see if the part numbers on the same!

wow, well my mechanic tore it down today, he said that the mount had been ripped a while back and the vibrations of the motor caused it to keep tearing which den had no support on the tranny bracket and caused it to break he said never in his life has he seen motor mounts so cheap as the ones we have

How would you describe the way the car felt the week right before it broke?

I think mine might have an issue and this would suck.
