Brake vibration

Randomly when I hit the brakes it will make the pedal feel as if I am sliding on ice even though I am on solid concrete and am not sliding. I let the pedal back up and when I apply again it goes away. What could this be? Come spring I will be changing the front brakes to 07 Mazda 6 calipers and rotors and will be replacing everything in the rear as well except for the calipers. Do you think it can wait til then or should I do this soon? I'm thinking one of the calipers is sticking but am not sure. Anyone else know?

What do you mean "it will make the pedal feel as if I am sliding on ice"? Do you mean you apply the brake and the car doesn't stop? If so, that's probably a dangerous brake master cylinder problem that needs to be fixed immediately.

does it happen during application of the brakes and in the first bit of movement of the pedal, like a burp, burp, burp when you hit the pedal?
