Brake replacement

2011 Mazda 2 Sport
Just replace my disk brakes and rotors for the first time after 166,000 miles, many miles highway, about 65%. My 2011 Mazda 2 has not required any work other than oil, oil, air and cabin air filters, tires, and one battery. And one set of spark plugs. Also iridium. Has anyone had longer brake life?

Yup, I went nearly that long on my 04 MZ3, didn't change them until like 120k. Just like you, all highway at 60mph or better.

Brakes are one of those things that depend entirely on driving style. If you have a Miata that you beat on every weekend at Road Atlanta or Watkins Glen, you might get through a weekend on a set of pads, but probably not. If you have an inner city taxi, 10-20,000 on a set and you're doing great.
