bpv hose's

I have a quick question on our bpv hoses or bpv hoses in general. I was wandering if the length of the bpv's hose on the incoming side from the intercooler makes a difference in the bpvs performance? I'm trying to rig a way to make the turbo xs type h34 work with the Injen rd cai. and I thought that I could put the bpv outlet straight to the intake's tube and run the hose to the intercooler piping from there. I was just hoping to be able to face the new bpv upright so that I could be able to put washers in it easier. And in my opinion it looks better that way. I'd love some help cuz i've already ran a few searchs and came up empty handed. And I can't think of any other way to do it.

My very limited understanding of fluid dynamics is that the length matters less than the number and sharpness of bends. The pipe should be as short and straight as possible (duh) but where you have to bend a longer pipe with a less sharp bend is probably the better way to go.
