Bomex Mirrors

Just wondering, if anyone has these custom fitted on their car, or if there is even a company that makes them for the protege? Just wondering, my friend has a set from his S13 lying around, and i'm thinking about trying to get em custom fitted to the protege. What do you guys think? For people who don't know what they look like.......

The pic in your post doesn't look to bad, however the other pics make it seem really big. It draws to much attention to the car on which some of the lines on the cars don't match what the mirror. Our cars do not seem to have that much of a slope to look good as the mirrors seem long and drawen out.

Mmm my vote; won't match the car and thus wouldn't look that good.

But then again haven't seen a protege with such mirrors so it would be different. But would our A-pillar be able to mold with those? Doesn't seem like it.

well, i was thinking of just using the mirror itself, and not the mount from it. And somehow see if someone can get it fitted to my stock mount. Or, another idea of mine was to mold it to the door, but i know that's just too much money to spend on mirrors.

IDK, it seemed like a cool idea at first, but when i think about it......seems just a little too expensive to do. But i'll keep thinking of ways to make this mod possible, and affordable at the same time. Thanks.

why couldnt you just make a fiberglass surround for your stock mirrors? i'm assuming you either are good at, or know someone who is good with FG....but that would def be cheaper.

those are fricken big on that celica... but it would definitely be one off... wonder if dgm (or somebody- ideas anyone?) could make a replica?.... cuz i would hate to pay all that cashish for some bomex joints and then chop and/or mod them (blah)

well, my friend owes me a favor, since i got my uncle to tow his totaled car from the tracks for free. It would've been an ass raping of a charge if he were to pay, so i just asked for the mirrors, and they were free. Now, the only cost issues will be getting them on there.

haha, damn you Dave. You can't order these, you got M3 mirrors already. This will be too much mirrors for one owner. Best you let me get these. haha.

But yeah, i think i might order me a pair too, just because it'll probably be a butt load cheaper ordering these, than making mine fit.
