Blowoff valve

i was reading my new sport compact mag today and found something i thought was interesting. its a turbo issue, and has a section on bov. it says, "Recirculating the discharged air doesnt necessarily eliminate all the cool blowoff sounds either. Any open-element air filter will let u hear it just as well as if it vented to the open air." So to me, it sounds like if we have a good intake it we will get the sound. i know we have a low amount of boost, but my friends civic has 5psi, and u can hear his greddy type-s just fine. im hoping an intake will give us this sound, anyone give me some feedback?????

Didn't redemption say that it did in fact make it even louder than the K&N?? you might want to do the search..prob on the link of the injen update...

yeah it's true... any kind of open air intake will let you hear the BOV sound. one of the toprotege.com members (XSIVSPD) has a simple intake pipe and cone filter. you can hear his stock BOV fine if you rev it enough.

yup..ive said it before and ill say it again..the sound is just as good when recirculating...on a scale of 1-10..10 being atmosphere venting....recirculating is like an 8

Atmosphere vent would be a 12 the sound is amazing. I have had people miss shifts cause it's so intimidating. any car no matter how modded gets jelouse when they hear my car
