Blackstone oil analysis @ 6805 miles

Details:
-changed out dealer/factory oil at 1773 miles
-Using Pennzoil Platinum 5w30
-genuine Mazda oil filter

Good to know changing out the oil @ 5000 miles is recommended from Mazda even though this is synthetic. Looking forward to seeing my next report after another 5000 miles of use. I then might go to 7500 mile changes, hopefully.

This is completely my opinion, but I have never been satisified with manufactuerer suggested oil change intervals. I change my oil with full synthetic between 2500-3500 miles everytime. Some times a little sooner depending on if it is warm out and I can really get on it. I drive my car like I rented it. i am constantly running through the gears and every stop light is a tree with the alignment lights both lit. Every corner is a chance to see how much further I can push the car before it loses grip. So when you drive like that you need to decrease the intervals between changes. But once again, its my opinion.
