Blacking out Head & Taillights...

Ok, I did a search on this but I don't know if I'm searching on the right words so here's my question:

Does anyone know how to or have blacked out headlights and tails? I have a Black Mica P5 and I was wondering how you do this. I've seen the spray on tint but can/will that scratch off? Are there any other ways to do it? What's the best brand to go with? Err... is it legal? Please reply with any suggestions or tips b/c I'd like to try this. Thanks!

Ask Funwagon how his are holding up... He is the only one I know of who's done this.

i've had the VHT on my tail lights for a few months now, and it looks as good now as when i did it. it seems to bodn to the plastic, instead of just coating it.

You can always put clear coat on top of it to protect the paint

Here are two daytime pics with the running lights on. it was about 12:30 in the afternoon, so the sun was pretty high.

umm the new p5 here in canada (i don't know about anywhere else) had black headlights already... but that is the new 2003 version.. shrug... I see no point to doing this on a silver car like that guy did. I think it looks like crap on silver car. if the car were blue or black it would rock though.
