Better upgrade than oem speakers for cx-5 sport?

Hey everyone,

I own a 2014 cx-5 sport and overall I love the vehicle. Yesterday I had a viper remote start/alarm installed into it. I have the bluetooth/hd radio package in my vehicle already. I'm looking to make a significant change in audio quality for my ride. This is the second vehicle I've owned, previous one I just used to get me from point a to be. For this one I intend on keeping for a while, and don't mind upgrading/modifying it at all! With that being said, I didn't see a particular guide on which speakers you want to shoot for. Will any that are compatible do? Do any of you have suggestions on any brands like Pioneer/boss etc? I won't be that guy that has his music blasting ridiculously loud, but just want it higher when I'm cruising around. :-)

Thanks for any help and suggestions!

Also: Heated side mirrors. Can only a dealer/shop install these? These would be a real neat addition.

There are lots of threads in this section about aftermarket speaker - look around...

I agree heated mirrors would be very nice...

Can I ask you which Viper system did you install it and how it works? If you open the door, it shuts off?
I'm in the market and I don't know which system to go with.
I have posted some black friday speaker deal. Those I have got, last year for my car. I have two pairs in fact, front and back, since they were so cheap.
They sound very good to me.

Hey there, I used the Viper 5806V model. It's a two-way model. When I press my engine start option, a led light + noise will let me know it went through etc. Pretty neat. Unfortunately the installer said they weren't able to bypass the engine shutting off once you opened the door. No big deal for me, I just like knowing when I get to my cx-5 it should be defrosted and good to go. I just use the unlock option, pocket my keys (so I never leave them in vehicle by mistake), put foot on brake then push button and zoom zoom. It would be great if the engine would stay on when opening the door and I think I read that it can be bypassed, but I'm happy with what I have right now.

Thanks for pointing out those speakers. I'm going to stop by a Best Buy and see what they have.
