best way to apply touch up paint

I just got my touch up paint in the mail and what is the best way to apply it? I did a search and I found that a brush is bad and a toothpick is better. what about a sponge applicator?

I would probably go to an art store and spend 8 bucks on a good brush.

Has anyone applied touch up paint yet? I'v got a nasty scratch on the rear bumper and like MangoSpeedG I want it to look good.

exactly.....go to a art store and buy a good brush...a very fine one......dab a bit of paint to fill the hole...let it dry, do it again, let it dry....then wax it...http://www.mothers.com sells a kit to do this
