AWR end-link positioning

I've just finished installing my 19mm AWR rear sway-bar and end-links (on a side note, the drunken idiot of an engineer that designed our stock end links could easily be replaced by a monkey, with little impact on the quality of his or her work). I noticed in a quick "AWR" search that other members have been positioning their new upper end-links on the inner sides of their rear strut mounting tabs. When I assembled my sway-bar end-links and attached them to the strut tabs, I seemed to be left with better control arm clearance when I mounted them on the outer side of the strut tab. Has any-one else positioned their end-links this way? I like the extra clearance but if I'm getting it at the cost of screwing-up something else I can do without it.

It all depends on where you have the bar adjusted to. If the bar is set soft, you can put the endlinks outward. If it's set tight, then it's better to have them mounted inboard.
