I don't think I was around for that, but hell... advice is free. It never hurts to give Derrick and Jason a call at Corksport and ask them for some help.

I've actually been in a lot of contact with Jason because he's a friend of mine and comes to our monthly meets up here (MazdasNW). I'll ask him about this though...

like i said i remember reading something a while back. i lurked for a long time before joining. i remember seeing pics of the inside of the dp with scratches from the wg actually hitting it.

Jason said that the pipe would not do that to the wastegate

It's a misconception about our dp's not letting the wg open. It was all formed when someone thought that the wg would hit the divorce plate. Unfortunately, the wastegate actuator only opens that port about 50-60 degrees, so it's no where near the plate.
